Posted @withregram • @ourbookdays A fun and innovative non fiction book about the Louvre art gallery in Paris. We were lucky enough to visit the Louvre last year with our little ones and we had the best time! There is so much to see and so many interesting exhibitions.

This is a brand new book so unfortunately wasn’t in print when we visited (I wish we had seen it before we went!) but we had fun looking through it afterwards and spotting all the things we had seen.

The book takes a fun and light-hearted approach, and is narrated by the people in the pictures themselves! It gives some great background on each painting and lots of interesting facts about each one and the painters too.

With photos of the paintings and wonderful illustrations by Quentin Blake there is loads to look at.
•
An excellent book for older children interested in art, or a must have if you are planning a visit to the Louvre! Have you been with your kids? I’d love to know how you got on!
